Wayne Massie is a lifelong resident of Amherst County who has been married to his wife, Cheryl, for more than 30 years. Together, they have raised four children, Madison, Jordan, Nicholas, and Chase, and now enjoy watching their family grow into the next generation. For Wayne, family has always been at the center of the life he has worked to build, and that same focus on family, opportunity, and legacy is at the heart of Eden River Legacy Investments.
Wayne brings more than three decades of professional experience in infrastructure development and rehabilitation. A registered Professional Engineer since 2001, he has built his career on analyzing complex problems, developing practical solutions, and seeing projects through from idea to completion. He also serves as President of the Lynchburg Chapter of the Virginia Society of Professional Engineers.
Throughout his career, Wayne has developed a deep appreciation for the impact that thoughtful planning, hard work, and the right opportunities can have on individuals, families, and communities. Those same principles eventually led him to real estate and to a desire to help people who may not fit neatly into the traditional path.
Wayne has completed extensive real estate and business training and continues to pursue education and mentorship from nationally recognized professionals. He is particularly interested in creative real estate strategies and finding solutions when a traditional answer may not be the best, or only, option.
As President of Eden River Legacy Investments, Wayne leads the company with a simple belief: real estate is ultimately a people business. Behind every property is a person or family with their own story, goals, challenges, and hopes for the future. Whether someone is trying to become a homeowner, facing a difficult situation with a property, or looking for a different way forward, Wayne believes the first step is taking the time to listen and understand the situation.
His engineering background has taught him that difficult problems rarely have only one possible solution, and that narrowing the alternatives to develop the best solution requires in-depth analysis and thought. He brings that same problem-solving mindset to Eden River, approaching each situation individually and looking for solutions that are practical, creative, and beneficial to the people involved.
For Wayne, legacy is personal. After decades of building a life and raising a family in Amherst County, he wants Eden River to create opportunities not only for his own children and grandchildren, but also for other families, building stability and opportunity in communities for generations to come.
Wayne strives to lead Eden River with excellence, integrity, and empathy, with the goal of leaving everyone the company serves better than before.

Nicholas Massie is a lifelong resident of Amherst County and has been married to his wife, Angel, since they were both 19. Together, they are raising their two daughters, Oakley and Lakelyn, and building a life centered around family, hard work, and creating opportunities for the future.
Nicholas and Angel reached the milestone of purchasing their first home at just 20 years old, giving him an early appreciation for the stability and opportunity that homeownership can provide. As a husband and father, building something that lasts beyond one generation has become especially meaningful to him.
After graduating from high school, Nicholas entered the workforce and built a strong career in manufacturing, where he gained years of hands-on experience, developed leadership skills, and learned the value of hard work and consistency. His professional experience also includes home improvement and retail operations, giving him a practical understanding of homes, projects, business, and working directly with people.
Over the years, Nicholas developed a growing interest in real estate, investing, and the different ways individuals and families can build wealth for their future. He has received training and mentorship from nationally recognized real estate professionals and continues to dedicate significant time to expanding his knowledge of both real estate and the financial markets.
More recently, Nicholas has focused heavily on learning about stock market investing and investment strategies. He is passionate about continuing his education in this area so that he can not only make informed decisions for his own family, but eventually help others better understand investing and the role it can play in building long-term financial security.
At Eden River Legacy Investments, Nicholas serves as Vice President and helps identify opportunities, develop solutions, and advance the company’s vision. Whether the conversation involves real estate, homeownership, or investing, he believes there is rarely a one-size-fits-all answer. Taking the time to understand someone’s goals and circumstances is an important part of helping them determine their next step.
For Nicholas, building a legacy means more than simply accumulating assets. It means creating stability, making wise decisions with what you have, and building opportunities that can positively impact your family for generations.
His goal is to continue learning, growing, and using that knowledge to help others build stronger financial futures of their own.

Madison Morris is a lifelong resident of Amherst County who has been married to her husband, Tyler, since 2023. Together, they are raising their son, Everett, and recently celebrated a major family milestone: buying their first home. These days, they spend much of their time tackling home improvement projects, making memories with Everett, and turning their first house into a place their family can truly call home.
Madison has worked in administrative, financial, and managerial roles since graduating high school. She attended Randolph College and Liberty University, where she focused on education and personal finance. She is a SHRM Certified Professional with a diverse background in accounting, payroll, benefits coordination, human resources, and organizational administration.
While her experience spans several areas, a common thread has always run through Madison’s work: people. She genuinely enjoys helping others, whether that means answering a question, explaining something that feels overwhelming, finding a resource, or simply taking the time to listen. She believes some of the biggest challenges people face become a little easier when they have someone in their corner who is willing to meet them where they are.
As a first-time homeowner herself, Eden River’s mission became even more personal. Madison experienced firsthand just how exciting, and sometimes stressful, the journey to homeownership can be. From understanding finances and loan options to making offers, navigating closing, and finally receiving the keys, the experience gave her an even greater appreciation for what owning a home can mean to a family.
At Eden River Legacy Investments, Madison focuses primarily on marketing, education, and administrative support. She enjoys finding ways to make complicated real estate and financial topics easier to understand and helping connect people with information and resources that may give them a path forward.
For Madison, Eden River is about much more than real estate. It is about helping people build stability, create opportunities for their families, and establish something that can positively impact generations to come. As she and Tyler begin building that legacy for Everett through their own first home, she understands just how meaningful that opportunity can be.
Madison’s desire is simple: to serve people well, help them succeed, and leave them better than when she met them.
